The Shit Sandwich

Everyone who's been on an EB will know how this works - something good, something bad, something good.

- In an effort to be less "vanilla", this year promises more sports, dance classes with Jill (maybe salsa or tango), plus (in a late-new-years-resolution kinda way) a new language. Long term goal is to be a conversational trilingual by the time I'm 25.

- MotherfuckinCOLTSRAAARGH.

Tha Colts are totally the NFL version of the England football team. Great team, could potentially beat anyone, haven't won a game that meant anything in ages. When they got that fumble right at the very end I was certain they were going to win, one of those come-from-behind types that are talked about in hushed tones years from now on ESPN. That's the way it goes, I guess. No team I really root for in it anymore, so I'll just be watching for the entertainment, I guess.

Mother fucker.

- Congratulations to Shirley Ma (former Michigan LCP) on her election as the new MCP of AIESEC Canada!

Vanderjagt should be fired. Any field goal kicker who misses from 37 yards (and plays for a team like the Colts) should really reconsider what he does for a living. The 14-2 record for the Colts means nothing; they will forever lose in the playoffs.

Arnaub, I disagree on 2/3 counts. True, that was a total wiff of a kick, but the only reason he was even out on the field was because the offense couldn't do their job throughout the entire game (and it was 46 yards, not 37). Field goals don't lose games, teams that play like shit do - when the Polamalu interception got overturned and Indy got that fumble return to the half-way line, they should have won.

I agree that the 14-2 record doesn't mean a whole lot any more, but there's always next year, and despite what happened yesterday the Colts are still in pretty good shape. They just need to win a fuckin' playoff game from time to time.
